Inspections (Verify Required Drainage Inspection By Viewing Your Issued Permit)

Please Note: Inspections listed with a pending status are not scheduled inspections. This may indicate an issue with the permit or that specific inspection. Only inspections with a status of "Scheduled" will be performed. Please disregard inspections with a "Pending" status. We are working to resolve this issue.
If you need assistance please contact 602-506-3301

If you are unable to schedule an inspection online, there are several reasons why this might occur.

  • The computer or device you are using is not compatible with our website:
    • Please verify the browser versions that are compatible with this website. You can find these on the "Home" tab.
    • To resolve this, use another computer which meets the requirements, or use the Inspection Line, 602-506-3692. For the Inspection Line, you must have the permit number and the inspection code. You may only schedule for the next business day.
  • There is no expiration date on the permit. This may be caused:
    • Because the permit has not been issued yet.
    • By a system error such that the expiration date was not automatically calculated.
    • If the permit was not issued correctly in the system.
  • There are fees outstanding:
    • A failed inspection might result in the assessment of a reinspection fee which must be paid before any further inspections can be scheduled.
    • There is a permit fee that was assessed after the permit was issued. This is very rare.
  • The permit is not in a status that will allow an inspection:
    • Residential permits must be in Issued, Reissued, or Renewed status.
    • Commercial permits must be in Issued, Reissued, Renewed, or Modified status.
  • A Drainage milestone inspection has not been met:
    • Some projects require Drainage milestone inspections. If these are not met, no inspections beyond that milestone can be scheduled.
    • Drainage milestone inspections are:
      • 155 Drainage Finish Floor Elevation
      • 801 Drainage In Progress Inspection
      • 970 Drainage Final

If you are unable to determine why your inspection was not scheduled, please call our main number, 602-506-3301, to speak with a Customer Service representative who will help you resolve the issue.

    Processing Status

You will be contacted by Quality Control via email when your permit is ready to be picked up. If you submitted in-person at our office, please do not come to the office before receiving this notification, as your permit will not be ready. If you submitted online, you will be receiving automated emails with next steps in the process.

To check the progress of your permit, click on the arrows next to the green check marks or hour glass symbols to open each step. You will then see the progress of that step.

    • For a more detailed comment, click on the + sign under each arrow.
    • Please note that the green check mark indicates the step has been completed, not necessarily Approved.
    • The hour glass indicates the review has not yet been completed.
    • Once all steps are complete, you will be contacted by Quality Control by email with either comments or notification that your permit is approved and ready to pick up, or if an online permit, ready to retrieve from the Online Permit Manager.
